A friend of mine on her last trimester is busy looking out for unique Indian names for her little son who is to come into this world anytime soon. She's been asking some of her friends to help her make a list of names and i am one of them too..! I was all excited and smiling thinking that i would surely come up with some real good names for that little bundle of joy. So as i sat up browsing the web..........
Google search>>Indian Boy baby names>>
Results 1 - 10 of about 21,900,000 for indian baby boy names. (0.17 seconds)
OMG! soooo many.. now how was i suppose to categorise and filter was the question that stopped me to continue for a while. I was lost when i tried to get my priorities right, whether it had to be importance of its meaning, uniqueness, modernity, pronounciation, length, based on the star at the time of birth(nakshatram) ,mythologically influenced(well, hardly do we find people using them these days though), the regional influence (north-indian, south-indian..) or even worse the influence of some filmstars or even characters they played, sportsmen..... aaah! list was never-ending..
Well, after some pondering i narrowed down on my priorities to its meaning , pronounciation, length , uniqueness and also how easily it could be spelt keeping in mind that most of us living outside India i just cannot ignore the fact that how our lovely Indian names get sabotaged as people wouldn't know to pronounce or spell them. Now that i am done with preparing my name list, am all excited to see the little one arrive and very curious to know what his parents would name him.... just can't wait...!! ;)

Go Italian!!!
First of all the credit to this post goes to two of them, J and C2 . J inspired me with her uthappam post and it struck me that i can post a recipe as well. And if it wouldn't have been C2's place i wouldn't have tasted this awesome dish at all n its her recipe i borrowed as well ;)..

Being a homemaker and coming up with new exciting dishes everyday is a task to do by itself. I've always enjoyed cooking and end up with good dishes as well though i'm experimenting at times, lucky me! or i should say lucky is my hubby! :P.. There are the days when i just stand at the kitchen counter or in front of the open refrigerator trying to figure out what to cook today. To add to it your heart and your tummy is screamimng not the monotonous Sambar, rasam and porial, and today was just a day like that.. So i decided to go italian with a desi touch.. So tried my hands on Spinach Pasta and was worth the effort. Something simple, delicious and easy. So here's the recipe for those who wanna try and lemme know how was it.
Recipe.

> Grind baby spinach with goat cheese or mozerella cheese and minced garlic, i added green chilli for some spice.

Villu- A total Disaster!!!

Hey folks..
Villu, a tamil movie featuring Vijay, Nayanthara, Vadivelu n Prakash Raj is totally horrendous and disgusting. Vijay is here again with a flop following "kuruvi", this is his hatrick of flops if i'm not wrong. I really dont understand how people could ever think of wasting time making such a movie..
Unnecessary fights, songs, cheap comedy, a mother sentiment, skimpily dressed heroine to call glamourous, no story line - If all this is what today's movie makers believe to call a masala movie, then they r really outta their mind.. Give us a break guys!!! STOP BEING HERO- ORIENTED... this is not what people want to see.. So what if the hero wants to fool around, let him do it with him investing for it!!! Producers wake up!!!
We hardly see any effort from the director Prabhu deva as well. His movies like Bommarillu, Pokkiri had done quite well at d box office in d recent past, but Villu is a total let down. Nayanthara really needs help with her acting skills.. its not enough if she manages to lose weight n look sexy.. Vadivelu, is a total waste!! Man.. this guy could have atleast helped to hold onto the whining n sighing audience. But he spoilt it too...n, Vijay dont even ask?? one more performance like this.. he's OUT!!!
I think nowadays, ppl think fashion means only color.. so what whether the colors complemented or no... they have made everyone look like clowns with all possible colors horribly combined.
Though i've always been skeptical on a Vijay movie, here i was accompanying my hubby to go all the way to Artesia, 80 miles from home to watch such a sad flick which is supposed to be our first regional movie together after marraige just coz he asked " Honey! how abt Villu today.. it is just out in the theaters!!??
I will rather convince myself of groceries i shopped, a relishing luncheon n dinner in the Indian restaurants in Artesia with him instead of thinking that we did get to see our first tamil fick together at last...
But our first regional movie is Villu???? noooooooooooo.... i'd rather think that i didnt see it...
